48" X-Axis Extension Kit for MK1?

Hey, gang,
I’m really happy with my MK1 30X30, except for those times when I need to mill pieces greater than the 30" (nominal) size of my bed. I am therefore considering going one of two ways:

  1. selling my existing unit, with the torsion box table I’ve made then buying a new MK2 48X30; or
  2. upgrading to the 48" X-Axis Extension Kit.

Before deciding which way to go, I’d like to ask if anyone here has upgraded to the extension kit, and if so, how has it worked out for you?
