# Altmill x axis gap

Hi everyone,

I’ve just taken delivery of an Altmill, however I’ve got an issue which I’d like to compare with others.

I have clamped and tightened up the left side of the X Axis assembly, now when I look at the right side, I can see the extrusion isn’t sitting flat with the lip on the right side gantry plate. See photo attached, there is a 1.5mm gap at the front. This lends me to think there is a twist in the x axis extrusion.

Could a few people attach some photos of their machines, does it have the same gap?

Hey there. I just began setting mine up. It was received a few weeks after yours (late feb) and I have a similar gap on the right side. There’s no room left in the bolt pattern to close the gap.

How did this work out for you?

@rasterjunk Welcome to the group. As this was first posted well over a year ago, and none of the others reported back, I am thinking that you may not get a reply. You should open a support ticket with Sienci.
