Hey. Anybody know how to get in touch with a human? I have an issue with a bad bearing block on a machine barely 2 months old. Submitted a ticket, did all the suggested rectifications, didnt work. Even tried alignment methods not in the documentation (as in completely dis/reassembling the gantry). Replied to ticket, no response, submitted new ticket. Final word was âplease verify your addressâ. I asked if this was something more serious than an alignment issue? Response was âneed to replace lead screwâ . No conversation, contact, replies, since. Scared to use my machine as the clicking from the bearing can be heard over the whine of a 2.2 cutting walnut. Again, anybody know how I get a human to find out whats going on with this?
Have you browsed the forum for clicking problems, while you figure out how to contact sienci?
Hereâs one with a solution.
Yes. Its an Altmill 4xr4. Clicking is definitely coming from the block on the x axis motor side just cant tell if its a bad interior bearing or a bad start. Have removed motor and dis/reassembled the coupler in multiple spacings; used the âNoisy lead screwâ fix, but cant acces the motor side coupler set screw when installed due to gantry interference; spun screw with z side of coupler loose hoping it would self align; removed and replaced motor a total of 5 or 6 times, even tried using aluminum foil shims; tried loosening and retightening the z axis assembly; tried loosening the x motor side bearing block; tried dis/reassembling both gantry end plates and double checking alignment. Not sure what else I can try, guess I could remove a leg off the table âŠ![]()
Granted that wasnât a lengthy response but my first thought is they were verifying your address to send you a replacement.
