I was looking for a little help. I’m very new in fact I haven’t even received my Altmill MK two 4 x 4 yet.
I ordered the 2.2kw 80 mm spindle. I’m just trying to get a count for how many dedicated plug-ins I will need. I understand I’ll need the 220 plug which I have. How many dedicated 110s do I need? I would appreciate the help. I’m also gonna run a black box cyclone and vacuum pump which I know I need a 30 amp outlet for that and I have one of those as well. Any help you can give me would be greatly Appreciated
The controller doesn’t take much power so you can attach other devices via a power bar (ie gControl)
If you have a dedicated 220V outlet and a dedicated 110V outlet (and the chip/dust collector outlet) then I think you are set
If you are running new circuits, go with 20A circuits that include neutral (just in case you need another 110V outlet). If I was installing a 220V circuit I would also install an extra , 2nd 220V (with neutral so it gives two 110V circuits).
Perfect thanks for the help. Yes I installed a sub panel. I have 2 dedicated 110s, 2 20amp 220s and 1 30 amp 220 (for the vacuum table pump). Sounds like I’m good. I also have an existing 2 gang box right also for dust collection, if I don’t use my overhead shop dust collection, which is my plan, if I can figure out how to access a blast gate.
