Has anyone set up dual boot with Linux on the gControl Panel computer? Of does anyone boot from USB on it?
Mine is on order now and I would like to be able to flip back and forth.
I don’t do this any longer but originally I was dual booting Ubuntu on an external USB-SSD and Windows on the internal drive.
Due to my lack of available Windows computers, I now just boot the gControl to Windows and remote to it (via MeshCentral) so I can run vCarve Pro.
I was able to get this to work today by having Linux Mint installed on a USB thumb drive.
I had to have an iso image of it on one USB drive and an empty one for it to actually do the install to.
The machine is configured to boot to the USB first so the GRUB boot loader menu comes up and then lets me pick whether I want to go to Mint or Windows. I have a default and timeout set so unattended it goes into the specified one.
