Hi, I’m new to CNC, so naturally, I have a few questions. I want to create my first 2.5D wood relief. I already have the three cutting files ready. My question is: is the cutting order strict, or can I start with the clearing pass to remove the bulk of the material, followed by the roughing pass, and finally the finishing pass?

Hi @Andres3 - the order of your files is indeed strict - but the order you are describing is what makes most sense. You will generally want to work from courses to finest - and your finishing toolpaths will assume that the rough cutting has already been completed.

What CAM package are you using (or did you purchase these files?)
