gSender 1.4.10 and vortex

Update: I solved the first issue. It seems that the firmware changes in the written instructions and the youtube video assume that limit switches are installed. If they are not, as in my installation, there are other firmware settings that need to be changed.

Setup
gSender 1.4.10
LM running SLB
no limit switches
Vortex = closed loop
Rotary slider set to 4th axis

First time running with the closed loop motor. I figured that I would start easy with the rotary surfacing module.

Two issues:

1. When the job first started, the router stayed in place in X while the material rotated several times before starting the actual cutting.
2. Using the feed rate slider did nothing.

Glad you got it figured out - was there something that could be added to the documentation to prevent this for others in the future?

@KGN Sorry for the delay, Kevin. I’ll write up what I did to resolve the first issue.

It may take a while as I am thinking that the only way to address my macros/shortcut list problem is to completely uninstall gSender, rename .sender_rc and start over again. I want to do that before doing anything else.

I’ve not yet figured out how to resolve the second issue.
