GSender always showing Probe input on when it isn't

Brand new machine, Altmill 4x4. Just got it started went to cut my first job and use the autozero touch plate. Everything on the machine works and this was the last thing to test. I can home the machine, the spindle works over Modbus etc. On Gsender, 1.6.3, the Probe input is always green. If I touch the wires together it doesn’t go out so the configuration doesn’t seem inverted. Nothing I do seems to get the signal to turn off.

The other inputs for X limit Y limit work as expected.

I thought maybe the cable was shorted. Pulled the cable from the controller. Same thing even with no cable connected to the controller, the probe input on GSender says it’s on.

If I plug the cable back in and look at the LED on the board, it does light up when the wires touch. So hardware wise it looks like it is working correctly.

I updated Gsender to 1.6.3 from 1.6.2. No change.

I updated the FW on the SLB-EXT. No change.

I tried changing the input parameter in GSender. No Change.

If I tried to use the probe routine I just get an error that the probe is in the wrong state meaning it is made before starting the cycle. So I can’t use the touch plate at all right now. I tried calling tech support but they are out for the rest of August conveniently.

Anyone seen this before and got it fixed?

Welcome to the forum. I have no blingmill or a slb so am purely looking into some manual pages hoping to catch something you didn’t mentioned yet so you might have a shot at getting this done quick without having to wait for the real smarts to come online.

Thank you for the response right after I posted this I figured it out. In the probe settings I had to enable the Toolsetter in gSender for it to work correctly. Only took me 2hours of monkeying around with it to figure it out.
