I’ll post the project file for this in the morning. Short story is we used to have chickens until the automatic door malfunctioned and a raccoon killed them all one night. Really upset the wife and my daughter. So I will be building a new chicken door.
I thought to cheer my wife up I would make her a little present. Made the following with a little chicken SVG and some fonts I downloaded. I think it came out fairly nice.
Just a pine board I had lying around. The machine was accurate enough when I measured the board with calipers at .68 inches that it barely cut into the spoil board at all
I put some danish oil on to make the carving standout.
I know this is pretty old, but how did you keep from getting fuzzies with the v groove bit? Also what degree bit did you use? Any time I cut pine with a v groove I get a lot of splintering.
