Hi everyone. We’ve added some additional resources for maintaining your LongMill to ensure that your Z-axis linear guides move smoothly for years to come and prevent sticking or seizing.

I have not had an issue. I have been wary of adding any lubricant as it might attract dust. I do blow out the guide area with compressed air.

Thats what I thought. I wouldn’t recommend to use any fluit lubricabt in a dusty area 🤷🏻‍♂️
At least, I would recommend to clean up the rails after sliding the carriage multiple times over the lubricated rails.

I’ve used Fluid Film. Dust/dirt does stick to it and it seems to do the trick. Put some on a few month back on my x lead screw that was making noise. Clean the parts/lead screw first. And use the Fluid Film sparingly and wipe off excess. Interested on thoughts if anyone else has used it. I learned about Fluid Film while working on my Jeep. Prevents rust as well. Let me know your thoughts.
