Hello, I just got my longmill up and running today. Im using easel software. I did the test cut and it cut upside down and backwards. Im very new to this, but thinking that my x and y axis polarities need to be reversed. Is there a way to do this with the dip switches or grbl settings? Any help is much appreciated.
Did you try cutting the two ready made gcode files provided by Sienci - the CNC Sheep and LONGMILL? I’d suggest that you try them (using UGS or CNCjs) and see if they cut in the right orientation. If they do then your inversion is probably due to something in Easel, which I’m not familiar with.
You can double check your EEPROM settings. (https://sienci.com/dmx-longmill/changing-eeprom-settings/) to make sure that the directions are going the right place.
Sometimes Easel resets the settings for some reason but they are easy to check and change back.
Thanks for the help. I think I’ve got it corrected. I’ll know for sure when I get home after work.
