I’ve noticed that my estimated completion date, originally set for March, has now been pushed to May. I know I’m not the only one experiencing this delay, but it’s frustrating to see multiple deadlines pushed back without any official communication on this latest event —whether through a blog update or a direct notice to customers.
I’d like to hear directly from Sienci in this thread: What’s causing these delays, what’s the plan moving forward, and why shouldn’t I consider requesting a refund?
At the end of the day, I’ve invested around $5,000 in their product. A simple update would have been the least they could do to maintain transparency and trust with their customers.
Sienci has been providing production updates at the beginning of each month so I’m guessing we will see something soon. That said, in bold red letters on their order status page is this text " If you are expected to receive an AltMill MK2, please be aware that parts for the MK2 batch are expected to arrive late March. Therefore we will start shipping machines early April.". So, if it’s a Mk.II that you are expecting, it would seem as if they do not have the parts to build them yet and won’t until late March at the earliest. Once the parts are in, I would expect production to pick up exponentially. Well, I hope it does because mine is supposed to arrive in May. At least I won’t have to worry about Customs issues.
I appreciate your response, but for several reasons, this purchasing experience hasn’t felt right to me. As a result, I requested a full refund and have already received confirmation.
Kolbi wrote and asked me to add to this thread that Sienci returned his money within 3 days of his request to cancel. He said that he believes that this reflects very well on the company.
IMHO, Kolbi’s behaviour reflects very well on him.
