So i added on the second rack of the tool changer ans was installing software. It has you upgrade the firmware as a step. I upgraded but the upgrade failed. It gave me some type of STALL error. I attempted again and got the same issue. At this point I have no USB or ethernet connectivity. I hooked a laptop to the usb port on the slb and it does not see the slb either. There has to be a way to recover from a failed FW install. Im dead in the water at this point.
any ideas?

Thanks MIchael…guess Ill leave it to support. i have tried everything that is suggested online and no help. I have done a firmware UG before with no issues…dont know why this one failed but I cannot get it to recover,
@beerbarrel Are you saying that windows device manager does not see the USB port that the SLB is connected to? If so, are you sure that the USB cable is a data cable and not just a charging cable? No offence meant. I’m just trying the simple stuff first.
Which method of flashing did you use?
it does see the usb but comes up as an unrecognized device, Im using the cable that came with the altmill and have tried another cable. I have also tried to get it to connect to my laptop and have the same issue. Ive used zadig and stm32 cube programmer. I have tried to get it to go into DFU mode but when I jumper the two boots pins the leds all stay on. Most all of them are supposed to go out when in DFU mode. I dont think it is going into DFU mode at all. All was fine until I got the STALL error while the firmware was being installed.
I just used the flash tool in gsender…
I did some searching after my post but I didn’t find anything beyond what you mentioned there.
Yeah, ive been through all the TS info and nothing has helped. Im thinking that the FW might have hosed the SLB…but I hope not!
@beerbarrel It sounds to me like the driver has been corrupted. As I’m sure you know, there is a link on the stm site for the driver. It’s been a while since I used it, but I’m sure that it’s there somewhere. With it loaded and functional, windows device manager should recognize it.
Nevermind what I posted isn’t any better than what’s in the Sienci Resources. You can just delete this if you want. I would if I could.
You are correct…and I cannot get it to load.
@beerbarrel If that driver won’t load, the issue is not the SLB. Something is off in Windows. Apologies if this is painfully obvious. 
My issue with that is that it wont work on my laptop either…does the same thing as the panel computer. It wont even connect to the slb with ethernet. Hopefully, support can help me out next week. Ive spent hours on it with no luck. We shall see…
I did find a thread on the FB group of someone having the same issue but it is two weeks old and no updates.
You would think that they would have at least responded by now…their phone just goes to voicemail.

and best thing I’ve seen mentioned at the IWF Atlanta trade show was the Harvey Deam Saw which has non-destructive safety blade. I did see someone showing off the Altmill as well.
After much manual hair removal, I was finally able to get the older version of firmware reinstalled…ver 20260318…I put a jumper on the SPIN terminals and powered up the system. I did not start Gsender yet. I used Zadig and was able to select the USB driver and it installed. After complete, I powered all down and restarted. I started Gsender and it connected via USB…but the firmware still showed -1. It did allow me to select an older version of the FW and it installed fine. I have not tried to set up the additional tool rack yet but I will tonight skipping the new FW. Ill let you know what happens…
OK…I re-downloaded the newest FW just in case. Followed the exact same procedure and the new FW installed without a hitch. Not sure why Zadig decided to work after trying it 20 times but my issue is solved! Thanks for all the responders…
