# Start from line issues

I love the feature, start from line but it’s not working on my Altmill. If I hit the emergency stop, reset the Z with the new bit and send it home it misses the start point by a couple of inches, runs the pattern backwards or at an extremely slow speed. Not sure what’s happening or why. Before I hit start from line I even send it back to start at xyz. Always lands dead on.  
Anyone else have this issue?

Yes - I had one project that I had issues with and tried it about 10 times on it and never worked. I ended up just re-running the entire 4 hour job.  
I assumed it was operator error on my part but sounds like maybe not.

Stan does it do the same if you hit the stop button in gsender rather than the e stop.

Just tried your suggestion and it really does the same thing. Pretty random results. Misses the start point by a few inches then runs along at a very slow speed, sometimes in reverse direction, then 20 sec. Later speeds back up to normal.  
Thanks for the idea though. Like all these issues, frustrating.

Stan have you tried shutting down gsender restart and reload project then using start from line. I would also consider opening a ticket with sienci.

Yes, even to the point where I downloaded a fresh version of G sender. No Luck.  
I’m now in the process of duplicating the issue so that I can contact Sienci for help.  
Thanks. I will certainly share the follow up.
