Not sure what happened, MK 2.5 with gsender 1.4 and just finished one cut. Got the next cut ready and the Y axis went to forward limits. Reset x0y0, did a outline and gcode verify and got a error 1 message. reset defaults to start over and now Y and Z won’t move. The motors hit but no movement or jogging. X did move in the wrong direction but I fixed that. Anyone have a clue? Oh yeah, I flashed grbl as a last resort but the issue remains. Thanks
update: I switched a Y and X connection and the Y motor turned, switched back and no move. About ready to go back to ugs if this keeps happening. I like the MK 2.5 but not a fan of gsender.
@1mike1 I don’t have any words of wisdom that will solve the problem. However, when you say that you flashed grbl, I assume that you mean that you flashed gbrlHal, yes? Also, are you running 1.4.8 gSender.?
If my machine was doing this, I would guess it was my limits acting up and see if I could get the machine working without them just to make sure the problem isn’t due to controller.
Hop you sorth it out soon. Frustration isn’t what we are in for.
thanks eddie, I printed those last night and will take another look this morning using those as a reference. Hope I can get this figured out cause I really like the gsender format but if it is causing issues I’ll go back to ugs.
I am having very similar problems. Initially I was able to jog the machine after initial-up,but after trying to run a simple surfacing job it started getting messed up and now there in no moving the Y or Z at all. I’m interested to know if you got it working. I am attempting to used the grblHAL with G-code sender 1.4.9.
What CNC machine are you running and what controller are you using? Without this information, it will be very difficult for anyone to offer good advice.
