Running 1.5.5 – AltMill Question: Just did a profile cut, no issues. Went to zero everything for the next one, no issues with X and Y but Z is suddenly not responding. I had raised it to remove the 1st gen dust boot and hit the limit switch for Z and it stopped responding to gSender. Manually moved Z down away from the limit switch but still won’t move. X and Y no problem. No alarms, just no response whatsoever. Any advice? I have to profile cut 46 more panels by Friday for a project.
Have you power cycled the machine and restarted gsender?

Good one … yes … and it worked! Thanks. The good ol’ POWER CYCLE. I had an old computer guy once tell me that if you’re lost in the woods, in the city, or anywhere, if you can go back to the start you can usually figure out where you went wrong and make corrections. He said “THIS is the theory behind the power cycle.” It lets machinery or software go back to it’s starting position and begin again.
