I am retired Chemical Engineer aged 78. My CNC is a Genmitsu Prover XL 6060 (sorry!) but I use gSender and the Sienci z probe. I have tried all of the usual gcode senders but much prefer gSender. The interface is intuitive and it has some features that are very useful, such as flattening a spoil board. I have been using CNC for about 2½ years. Originally I purchased to help a close friend who makes guitars. I have made jigs for making guitars and blast gates for his 2 garage shop. I also engrave his logo (designed by me) onto the headstock of his guitars. I upgraded to the 6060 from the 4030 so that I could machine whole guitars (yet to be done). My hobby includes making segmented bowls (keep promising myself to get around to using CNC for that), making small boxes, and pens. I have just started using the CNC is pen making. I also have a 40W diode laser, which gets lots of use, including making pickguards for guitars.
