I should have made these a year ago. These give me a gauge to indicate what size slots to cut based on what my Longmill and 1/8’ downcut actually cuts and not what calipers show. I can use it to set the size right the first time instead of messing with Pocket Allowance or i can leave the design at 3/4" and use it to calculate right the Pocket Allowance. I spent too many test cuts trying to get just the right fit.

Bit deflection is a thing especially on a 1/8 bit. If I needed a tighter corner allowance I would hog out the majority with a 1/4" and do a tool change and add spring passes on the 1/8" tool paths.
