3D printed 'vice clamps'

Jo Michael,

I am in awe of the smooth professional look of these little smartbclampings. I am, by budget and limitations of not having 3dprinter like tools, limited to the “usewhatyouhave” method. I sideclamp boards that cant have downclamps - like that mingled one you have there - with glue up clamps.

The down force is applied by using wooden clamp akin the one you showed, and bolting the side clamps to the machine bed.

So.. if you, somehow.. are able to (extra) tighten your fancy clamps down to the bed, after gripping the board, you apply that wee extra downforce that we so crave. Every Newton counts. Could you somehow add a wee squishyness or bendyness to the bottom of these clamps for this purpouse?

Anyhooo, I loooove your clamps and would stop using my glueclamp methode to use them instantanious if I found them on my doormat in say about a week.

Jens sadly didn’t took in consideration that this forum is mainly just hobby “engineers” , my guy, chill out a bit, the man designed a bit of a structure from its own initiative and thoughts, give some props, don’t take anything that serious. Sure, some criticism is good for improving, but please don’t overreact.
