After doing so many carvings, and have tons of fun doing them, one step in my process needs some improvement. After the CNC finishes its finishing pass there are always some fuzzies on the wood left behind, even on dried wood. I use a drill sanding wheel first which removes most of these. But then I have to go in the crannies to get the rest with my pen dremel as many of you probably have done. I am looking for the any methods you use or specific bits for your dremel that you found to be the best. Thank you in advance for any thoughts. The bit I found so far to be the best is the one in the pen dremel. I have tried the others but they don’t work as good.
I like to use these dremel sanding wheels
@Karver_One I was going to suggest a mini sand blaster but this might not be the best application nor material for this.
@Lenp Great Suggestion, got some on order!
@Chucky_ott You are too funny =) That would be the opposite of carving hehe. But I do have a blaster. That would give the carving some real texture.
Be careful when using the above disks - they tend to come apart in use and sling the “fingers” everywhere. Eye protection is a MUST.

Oh sure now you tell me =) Thanks for the warning.

I’ve never had that problem with the genuine scotchbrite ones. It may be that you get what you pay for. ![]()
@gwilki where do you get the scotchbrite ones and if on Amazon do you have link? They sure make it difficult to actually find what you search for.
@DavidB Here
