How I spent my Christmas vacation: assembling my machine and trying it out.
I tried the gcode for Andy’s box but for some reason the lid was quite loose. I 3d printed the STL for comparison and the lid on that object fits fine.
So I gave up on the gcode for Andy’s box and modelled a similar box up in shaper3d. I used CAMLab to make a toolpath. I left a 0.2mm gap from the lip, and the lid fits very well.
I was wondering if Andy’s gcode was made for a metric bit.
