Well, If you can’t tell, I love old ships!! This is 12x12 image. Done with the G2 lens. Very sharp detail. It took about 3.5 hours and I did this one at a 45 degree angle.
Excellent work @mike2! Was your laser The Sienci LaserBeam? I have seriously thought about adding a laser, but didn’t think it was powerful enough to do much with it. I am hesitant to buy a third party due to lack of service. I really like your old ship sir!

Jake, Yes the laser is the sienci laser. 7 watts is not much but I am figuring out what all I can do with it. So it can do some engraving but, as far as cutting, It will not cut 1/4 inch ply. I have ordered some 1/8 inch to do some experimenting. Thanks for the encouraging words and I will keep you posted.
I can cut 0.1" plywood (typical Chinese version) …
… in 6 to 8 passes.
I have a JTech 7W laser; router mounted.
CrookedWoodTex, Hey that’s good info. Just shy of 1/8 inch in 6-8 passes. Wow, At least I know now that it can be done. Maybe one day I’ll be able to upgrade and do it in one pass! By the way are located in Texas??
