Assembly Confusion with a single sensor?

So I’ve completed my full assembly of my 30x48 and found that i was sent a single limit sensor. Not sure if this was by mistake or if it is part of the assembly. All the instructions i have list the 3 sensor pack instruction but nothing i see list or shows the single sensor installation. Any insight would be appreciated.

I should add that i do not have the sensor kit nor did i order it.

Also i think this might be causing an issue with my homing as when i hit home it drives to the front left but continues to attempt to plow through the end for several seconds. I am completely new to this so unsure how to set the home location manually or if i even can without the sensor pack addon. Should i just zero it where i need home to be? again sorry for the novice questions.

Hello Mike,

Welcome to the forum.

I have an mk2 48x30 without sensors a d set my xyz zeropoints manualy where ever I need them to be. You can use the zero block or auto zero plate, if you have one. But it is not needed.

If you do not have sensors you need to make sure the settings for it are turned off in g-sender.

It might be wise to watch some tutorials before starting to use the machine. It’s a beast, even if it’s only a longmill.

So after some more research on the resources page and IDC Woodcraft’s youtube, it looks like I need to take the sensor off and just use my autozeroing probe block. Pretty sure it was sent in error but i guess i just have a extra sensor for when i order the kit.

@Mike.Stric Welcome to the group.

I think you are correct in your reasoning about that.

You certainly don’t need the sensors to use the mill, I bought my mill before the sensor kit came out, but I got them when they came out and I like them.

So got the mill up and running correctly last night with a small sign project. I left the sensor installed in the z mount but unplugged the connection in the SLB. Zeroed without a issue and ran the sign great. Thanks for the help, sometimes it just helps to talk it out yourself. lol.
