Back lighting an epoxy sign

Making this sign that will be 48” wide. Going to fill the white and blue letters with epoxy .25”. And then doing a clearance on the back to make the epoxy going through to each side. With the clearance I am going to put lights on the backside perimeter facing inward.

Anyone done a sign like this? Will the lighting be bright enough to make the letter pop?

Sounds fantastic! I have been thinking of doing something with epoxy and backlighting too… but haven’t tried. Sorry I don’t have any input for you - show us the results!

I would say it depends on the ambient light in the room that the sign is in. I backlit this charismas window decoration and was a little disappointed by the light level, but sitting in a window at night it will be fine. The star pocket is filled with total boat clear epoxy.

Thanks for sharing! This will be in darker room where the kids hang. Its also going to serve as a night light just outside the kids room. It will be on a daily timer.
