I used the altmill to 3d carve 5 layers of 2” thick foam to make the main body of the beetlejuice tombstone. I used a ball nose end mill from Amana tool #46032 made specifically for foam Carving. The big advantage with this is its length so I didn’t haveto do any roughing passes on that thick material. Speeds and feeds were around 18,000 rpm and 350 inches per minute. The demons or whatever you call them are 3d printed besides for where their arms extend onto the tombstone face. Each layer was glued together with foam adhesive then I hand sanded some of the overhangs the bits couldn’t get too. After that I coated it with mortar, painted it and then sealed it to help with water resistance. Happy to answer any questions you guys might have.
