I saw this design on the Bambu 3D printer space and was able to bring the .stl file into VCarvePro, resize it to fit on the Vortex and carve it out of 2x lumber.
I carved this using Milo Scott’s method of “hacking” the spiral gadget in VCarve. This cuts a lot of time from the usual 3D finishing toolpath in VCarve and yields a much better finish.
The finish is just a spray blender that I had kicking around. This is not a keeper, so I just wanted to try to bring out the details a bit.
Edit: Size is about 6" tall and 3 1/4" at its widest
