Wondering if i can retro grade Mk1 with Mk2 parts as an upgrade for more stability. Just have a feeling that the X and Y drive screws on my Mk1 just seem too “flappy”. I do not have a lot of money to upgrade neither.
any advise help. Thanks.

@vinylvng Welcome to the group. The lead screws on the 30 x30 Mk1 and Mk2 are the same. They both use 8mm lead screws. The 48 x 30 uses 12mm on the X axis, and the same 8mm on the Y axis. If you have whipping in your lead screws, you may want to ensure that your installation process was correct and everything is adjusted as it should be.
You can add tension nuts and bearing kits to reduce leadscrew whip, if that’s the problem.
