I believe that I saw something about this before but just in case I’m making that up, I’ll suggest it.
I would like to see gSender be capable of detecting which Sienci controller it is connecting to and choose either grbl or grblHal depending on which is appropriate.
From time to time, members here have issues that are completely caused by their attempts to connect to the SLB using grbl.
Funny you should mention that because it was implemented in Edge 2 and is the current behaviour there - you just select which port to connect to and gSender figures out the rest. There is no longer a need to select which firmware type to connect with.

It’s good to know that it is on your radar screen and, I suspect, will appear in gSender one day.
Since it’s in Edge, that means once Edge is stable it’ll become Main gSender and everyone can benefit. The current goal is to get there by around end of April
