I wanted to do something special for my nephews first 22. The rifle started out as a pink stock. I Cerakoted it to a matte grey and thought I couldn’t just leave the cheesy plastic butt stock and cap on there so I used some figured maple to make a new lower cap and a new butt stock with a slight radius to better fit his shoulder. I used two sided machining for the butt stock and finished them both with satin lacquer to try and match the sheen of the new stock color. I then laser engraved our family’s logo and the American flag design.
