I have a part that I need to cut only the outer profile in CAMlab and I can’t figure it out. It keeps wanting to cut the inner pocket and I just need the outside cut. The shape that I’m cutting was originally a vector image (SVG), but I had to give it some sort of thickness in Fusion 360 to export it as an STL to work with CAMlab. And now CAMlab wants to cut both the inside of the part and the outside, but I only need the outside cut. Any suggestions?
Try unchecking “Roughing” and only using “Finishing”. The finishing process cuts just the outline of the detail. It’s not a perfect system but if you’re doing 2D stuff if should work.
