Cutting speed and detail

I am cutting out a project that was to take 3+ days, So I increased the speed. Now that it is almost done I see that a lot of the detail is not there. Is this due to the change of speed?

New V carve pro.
New G Sender.
LM 30 x 30.

Hi @Jim1609Clark ! Welcome to the group!

I think we can help you out, but might need a few details to zero in. Can you give us:

  • the bit you are using
  • the speeds you were trying (the slow and the fast)
  • the depth of cut
  • approximately how big your piece is
  • a picture of the work you are cutting

Taking over 3 days seems really excessive - Iā€™m sure we can get that time down, and probably improve the detail too!
