Hello Molly
This item took advantage of the precise positioning possible with the longmill as I needed to divide the job into 4 parts to fit my 12x30 longmill - 2 symmetrical halves for each side x 2 sides. A lace cloth fits in a shallow recess between the two sides, secured in a narrow slot with screen cord on the inside face of one side. The two sides are secured together with friction-fit pins inserted in holes also drilled on the inside face of each side again using the longmill. Registration holes in the wasteboard mated with pins in identical holes in the excess material surrounding the job ensured accurate positioning of the workpieces as I moved them for each half of each side until cut free at the end. Speeds and feeds were default Carbon Create v6 (free version) for the 1/8" endmill in hardwood (this job was ash). This was my first gSender job which worked beautifully using the Carbon create gfiles. Carbon create also created the SVG files I needed from a photograph of a similar decorative screen frame found during a trip to the Netherlands last spring.
Thanks,

I am trying to convince my car dealer that giving a personal gift with the car instead of some flowers will set them apart from their competitors. I have been given the chance to make them a proto because words are only words. So I took a picture of their most exclusive car they had and promised to be back soon with the result.

Here she is in the flesh:

Happy new year guys’n’galls!

Very nice! I am curious how you coloured the car?

The car is a 3mm deep pocket, painted white before burning with the standard sienci laser module.

After the etch its a simple sandjob to get a crisp outlined picture.

Ahhhh … makes sense now. Thanks
