Drum sander grit and source question

Hey guys. I am inheriting my dad’s 18" Delta drum sander (31-255X). For those of you sanding cutting boards and inlays (epoxy and/or wood), what grits do you work with? Also, where do you source your paper rolls? I hope to pick it up today and I’m sure he has some rolls in his shop, but I’d like to get some ordered, so any advice on grit and brand would be helpful.

TIA!

I use 60, 80, 120’s then move onto my random orbital for the rest. I generally buy 50m rolls of these grits and make up my own strips. Usually buying in bulk and a bit of haggling gets a better price.

I use grits from 60 to 220 on my Jet drum sander and hand sand with 320 to 400. Just watch the speed of the feed belt, you can get burn spots on the board
