Dust shoe hanging on drag chain?

Has anyone had this happen:

From the home position with z zeroed in, my project (wasteboard leveling) started and the brushes on the dust shoe got hung up on the drag chain as the spindled dropped down to begin the job. This popped the shoe loose and a bunch of the bristles were unceremoniously shaved off as the spindle came up to speed. It happened so quickly that I was unable to pause or stop the job before the damage was done.

If there were a way to keep the drag chain aligned with the outer edge of the dust shield, this probably would not have happened. Perhaps a ridge pressed into the dust shield or screw heads raised and located so they could also serve as a retainer for the drag chain?

Need a picture of this bud. Don’t understand how the brushes could possibly get hung up on the drag chain? The drag chain is on top of the rail. So how could it get caught up in the hair of the dust boot? doesn’t make sense?

Thanks for taking time to reply.
Imagining skills aside, it definitely happened. I’ve got the gap in the brush and residual fibers in the chain as remaining reminders. There is nothing to prove here. If it is a one-off occurrence, no one else will report a similar event.
I’ve moved on.
