E Stop Won’t Catch or Light Up

I just received my Altmill 2X4. Got it put together and tested the motion - everything worked fine. E Stop initial push in and release worked as well. That was yesterday. Today, it worked a couple of times but now, the E Stop won’t catch in the down/engaged position, and the E Stop lights are not on whether I restart or not. I’ve opened up the back of the E Stop and nothing is loose. This seems to be mechanical, though. The E Stop won’t engage.

@Kehlert Welcome to the forum. I seem to recall someone else with a similar issue. Search the forum and maybe you’ll find something. I did a quick search and could not find it but I’ll try again.

To clarify the behaviour, pressing (without turning) the eStop doesn’t keep it depressed. Pressing and turning (along with clearing the alarm in gSender) doesn’t put the machine in “ready” mode (and the two estop lights on) ?

The E Stop button doesn’t engage at all. The lights are not on on the E Stop either

Having a similar issue today.

When I depress the e stop as part of the startup process, the lights blink and I get a beep. Bu the lights do not stay lit.

Going to double check all my wiring now.
