First ever project, went big right off the hop.
30x30 Pine . Sealed with Spar . 1/8” down cut bit 140 in/min. 70 in/min doc . 1 hr 39 minutes cut time.

Great sign! Did you cut the pocket with the down cut bit too?
So I wanted a good straight bottom so I experimented with an up-cut bit and then cleaned up all of my edges with a small Dremel sander head.
