I recently completed my first carve out sign graphic. After three attempts with software configuration my Longmill nailed it. I’d like to do some fills with epoxy or paint and don’t know where to start. Any videos or links I can be pointed to would be great.
So glad you got your carve to work @wcr ! I suffered through that as well. There are some good videos out there
I would recommend Mark Lindsay. Here is one video that helped me get through things. https://youtu.be/bZPEaOhzx0s?si=pu-SPUzZrTWgXoD4
If you would like, you can post a pic of your project as it sits, and people can give suggestions on how to finish it.

This is where I’m at. This one will be some freehand.
After looking at the link you sent I get the idea about masking. Just like the old school pre-press with Rubylith. I ordered some mask on Amazon.
@wcr beautiful work Jim! Not sure what your color choices are, but maybe paint the most prominent color first, allow to dry and sand. Then do the next color? Just a thought anyhow. I don’t personally use mask, although I probably should. Typically, I stick to a single color. Please post the finished project sir. PS, a sanding sealer or something to keep the paint from bleeding would be appropriate. Water based poly would raise your grain, but it is easy to quickly knock down with sanding.
