Great Detailed Carve!

Hi, that’s great. It’s an exciting piece. I’m planning to do that same one very soon. Just need to find the wood. I’m planning to use 6mm flat bit to cut away as much scrap as I can first then a 0.5mm tapered bit to finish the detail. I have found that sometimes I need to do another parallel cut offset at 90degrees to the first to help clean and smooth out the clinging wood grain. With yours what strategy of cutting did you use and final cut size? Russ

I like those pvc pipe locators. Does it work well for you?

Yes they work great and if a bit hits them thry cut like wood no damage

Ill get the bit specs when i get back in the garage its a 1/16 taper ball nose
