First time attempting the Photo Vcarve. Made in honor of my father’s passing last year. Nothing crazy fancy, but I’m pleased with how it turned out.
I can see me doing a lot more of these types of carves. The Vectric software makes me appear far more skilled than I actually am!!

Thanks! I used a 60 degree vbit for the photo and wording and a 1/4” downcut end mill to frame and highlight the photo. Then just used a block plane to knock off the sharp edges.
For the settings, I used 0.04” max depth of cut, which gave me decent detail while not being too fragile to sand down.
Very nicely done! I’ve been meaning to attempt a photo carve for sometime now.
