Hello,
I couldn’t find this situation anywhere on the forum so I am hoping someone can tell me what’s going on. Since upgrading to the SLB, frequently when running a job in gSender, the job will stop and say “Hold” on the visualizer. The pause button changes to resume, however, when clicking it nothing happens. I am forced to stop the job and resume from a line close to where the job was stopped.
Any idea what’s going on?
Thanks,
Nick
Hey Nick,
Welcome to the Dungeon.
I have no SLB but recognise the weird holding and not being able to resume. I had it happen on the more time consuming jobs with the laser. It turned out to be a bad USB cable. I have not seen this after I replaced the original that came with the machine.
Do you use USB or ETH to connect to the SLB?
Using USB. I’ll try a new cable and see if that fixes the issue.
Fingers crossed.
If you happen to have a ETH cable handy, why not try that one too. I would love to run the mill on my network. It’s said to be way more rigid.
@Spamming_Eddie The word you are looking for is stable, not rigid.

I’ll give an ETH cable a shot to see if the connection is more rigidly stable.

Please make sure to also connect the machine, not just the stable.

Ended up hooking up to SLB via ethernet. I will run a few long test jobs in the air to check stability. Fingers crossed.

I went to Ethernet on my SLB when I could not get USB to connect on my setup. I tried my laptop and it worked with USB, so there is something weird with the device drivers on my CNC PC. I had upgraded from a xPRO v5 to the SLB.
