I’ve read the various posts on gSender interface design and the conclusion I came to is that:
- You can’t please everyone
- What people want will depend on:
a. their age (or rather eyesight)
b. the size of their fingers
c. screen size
d. functions they use most often
e. lighting
f. other factors (e.g. colour blindness)
g. memory (for use of shortcuts)
I don’t know if this is feasible or not, but maybe the next gSender can be fully customizable by the user. I’m thinking a grid-based design with widgets that people can place anywhere. And the widgets can be sized depending on your preferences. Sort of like the apps on your smartphone. Pipe-dream I know, but if you don’t ask, you won’t get.
