Not sure if this is a SLB issue or a gsender issue. I mostly use my cnc for rotary work. Recently upgraded to a SLB, just got it wired and fired up today. Tried the rotary surfacing tool in gsender and it was working great, in the last 95% of the cut it made a random drop on the z axis and ended up with the cylinder 10mm thinner in that section, The rest was perfect. I have tried several test carves and eventually something goes wrong. The last one I tried somehow shifted the x axis over -20mm and dove deeper on the Z than it was supposed to. It’s been a day full of scrapped projects that have some very deep plunges in the worst spots. Any help or insight ?
In case anyone ends up here down the road while searching for a solution…. I didn’t have the Z axis motor amperage set correctly, bumped it up and the z axis holds perfectly. The X axis was acceleration settings being too high and the z axis slipping and causing a large stall.
