Last night I was in the middle of a job with multiple tool changes. During the 3rd process the tool broke. What do I do in this case?
My process is: probe for xyz origin with 3d Touch probe, run job, tool offset wizard comes up, touch probe off of tool setter, install new tool, touch off tool setter again, resume job. Tool change command comes up in the code, install new tool, touch off tool setter, resume. Rinse/repeat. But is there a way to interrupt the job in the event of a broken tool and replace it and touch off the tool setter again?
I use gSender and a belt-and-braces approach. With issues with accuracy when using my tool length measuring set up, I always measure the bit stickout manually at the start of every project, using setup blocks. The link shows a set which is similar to the one I purchased for just £40.00. They are accurate to 0.001" which is likely to be good enough for many projects.
