I have created a router engraved charcutterie board. Are there any ways to darken the recessed areas outside of hand painting with acrylic pain or epoxy fills? This will be finished off with tung oil and wax. I’m thinking I could darken the engraved area with a hobby torch and sand off top area with palm sander. Is anyone using a method similar or like this or if you’ve got a better way?

A time ago I looked into powder coating to use with laser engravings. I came across this technique that really doesn’t need a laser, just a heatgun and the powder. I bet you’ll be able to use this for carvings too.

Pretty detailed. A bit more than I want but will be good for future projects. I’d also wonder if this is food safe?
