I am a buying a CNC

Good mourning all, have been investigating CNC machines for a couple months now. I had made my decision to buy an Altmill. I was so impressed with the reviews. I like the operating system and its speed and design. Due to the back log and shipping problems, and possible tariffs I have decided to go a different direction but not sure what, after getting all excite about this new machine it is going to be hard. Any suggestions???

This is a forum for Sienci products (Altmill, Longmill). Not sure this is the best place to get information on a competing product. Do some research on other vendors and then compare the price and the support you will get from Sienci. And then decide what is more important to you.

And take a look at Sienci’s cancellation policy. You can always buy now and if anything changes with respect to tariffs or delivery time, you can always cancel your order.

Cancellations

If your order has not shipped yet, you can cancel your order with no penalty.
If your order has shipped and is shipped back due to refusal to accept the shipment, our return policy will apply.

Thank you for the reply and the cancelation info.

@Tish What do you intend to do with it? You could look at Sienci’s other machines.

what tarrifs are you talking about? I dont believe there are any tarrifs on cnc machines

@metalandwood To reply to your question, Jeff, President Trump has announced that, effective March 4, import tariffs will apply on all products imported into the US from Canada. While the details are still in flux, at this time, CNC machines will be included. Only time will tell. The date seems to move.

I deleted the exchange between you and Jens. It contributed nothing to the discussion and did not answer your question. :grinning:

It takes all types

probably better for everyone
