The screw head on my Z-axis anti-backlash interferes with the brass nut at the inside top of the z-axis threaded rod. Does it change the functionality of the anti-backlash nut to invert it so it is pointing down instead of up?
I use a hex - set screw on my Z axis backlash block. No interference and get more travel up.

Can you post a picture please? I’m not sure how that is different from the documented solution.
Like Wally I also use set screws. They are short, and do not get in the way of the brass nut. I got mine at a local hardware store. They are metric, but don’t remember the size. Just take the bolt with you to compare size.
