The bells are freshly oiled and the trees are teak plywood from a friend of mine. The trees only took 58 seconds to cut out.
I really like the decorations. Nice job. That is a cool look for the Christmas trees.
Thank you…So far just making some christmas stuff with the cnc…What have you been making?
Hey Mike, those are some neat ornaments. How did you get them trees cutout so crisp. Does teak ply less likely to tear out?
I’m trying to do xmas trees out of ply too and have not been able to get a crisp carve. Maybe a more pricey ply gets me better results. Is my cheap ass getting bitten again?
I had some tearout on the bottom cause I used a dc 1/4” bit but I didn’t have a compression bit…yet. The teak layer cuts really nice with a dc…Wife likes them soooo…winner, winner…lol
Wife likes mine so much, she asked me to make more to sell in her lil shop, but I had so much work getting this one presentable, I am completely redesigning to prevent tear out and fuzz forming.
It gets better, but not yet there… I killed a sheet of ply allready trying to get it working. Wanting double sided, doesn’t help either.
Oh well, I wanted a wife, she wants christmass trees. The way cookies crumble ey!?
I am not making on the CNC yet. waiting for mine to arrive. hope to be setting up in the new year.
Well good luck with your setup and have a merry christmas…
That’s the same one my wife wants next hahaha…she calls it a charlie brown tree…lol
Try to distract her with beads, pearls, diamonds. Anything!
