Laser Lense and Lightburn settings

Hello, does anyone have any good documentation on the different laser lens settings both gsender and lightburn? I’m thinking of grabbing some of the lenses while I still can but want to make sure I know how to use them correctly first. There isn’t a lot of info on the Sienci labs pages. Looking from everything to focusing, to how settings should be adjusted based on a photo or cut or whatever else. Thanks.

@josemill0012 This Sienci page shows the focus settings for the various lenses.

In terms of feed rates and power settings, it varies widely depending on the material. Your best source of information and test files will be on Rich’s/LAHobbyguy forum. He also has an excellent youtube channel.
There are other sites that provide free test pattern files that you will use to create “templates”.
As far as gSender is concerned, if you created the project in LB, you can send it directly to your laser. If you prefer to export gcode to gSender, the feed and power settings will be in the gcode. gSender will not be involved with setting them.
In this respect, gSender’s role is the same as it is for router projects.

Thank you for the info. Without knowing much, the piece I can’t understand is how lightburn knows what laser you’re using, like if you’re cutting or trying to do a photo.

@josemill0012 You should look at the videos on LAHobbyGuy youtube channel or take the LB tutorials. LB “knows” that it is doing because you tell it.
