I’m considering upgrading my current Endurance 10w laser module to a 20w lasertree v2.
I am in Canada, and according to Lasertree, they ship directly from China to Canadian customers.
I have been unable to get them to reply to my questions about customs clearance costs. I know that the laser module is duty free. It will attract the HST. What I cannot find out from Lasertree is how they ship from China and, assuming that it’s a courier, what that courier charges as “brokerage fees”.
I’ve been burned in the past by UPS charging brokerage fees almost in the amount of the cost of the goods.
As anyone here in Canada ordered from Lasertree and had their purchase shipped directly from China? If so, how was the customs clearance handled?
