Learn from my mistake

Iam posting so my mistake may help someone else, I switched over to the SLB and it’s been easy and great, today I did the Vfd/spindle via the rs485 plug, I reset the Vfd and changed the settings, however becuase Iam using an110v spindle I missed two settings that I should have known better, the good news is Gsender worked the spindle the bad news was it pumped 220 into a 110 motor and it thought it was 4 pole instead of 2 pole. A little smoke and a hot spindle. Pay attention to those settings, and do the research on the equipment you have… just fyi

@Sandman92k Welcome to the group, Jeff.

That hurts. However, I don’t understand your statement that gSender sent 220 to a 110 motor. To flesh out your lesson, it may help if you explain how gSender accomplished that. It’s a new one on me.

I misspoke gsender only told the Vfd to do what was programmed into the Vfd parameters, that’s where I missed those several parameters which pretty much caused the motor to smoke and get hot, gsender was not at fault at all, it was all me I missed three parameters in the Vfd and bam…

@Sandman92k Thanks for clarifying that, Jeff.
